Easthall Residents' Association Awarded Free Facilitation From Kinharvie Institute

By Martin Pearson, 31-Jul-2013

In mid-June Kinharvie Institute launched the Community Facilitation Project, an initiative to offer ten days of free facilitation to one charity providing services in the Greater Glasgow area. Following an application process which ended on 19 July, we selected the Easthall Residents’ Association to be the recipients of this excellent offer.

The Association manages the Glenburn Centre, a community facility in which the Association delivers a wide range of social and welfare activities – a community café, an IT suite, a games hall, special needs clubs, office accommodation, youth clubs, school holiday programmes and training and employment initiatives.

On receiving news of their success in securing our free offer of facilitation services, Barry Johnstone, Depute Director, said, “Easthall Resident Association is a key strategic partner of Easthall Housing Co-operative, as it supports the Co-operative achieve its purpose of “making a difference to our community”.  Accordingly, the Association and Co-operative are delighted with this new partnership: it will support the Association adapt to a challenging external environment and continue to deliver vital community services”

We look forward to developing our partnership with Easthall Residents’ Association, working with their staff and volunteers and contributing to their goal of making a difference in the community.  We will report back in due course on how facilitation makes an impact.
