Presence Embodied: An Exhibition of Paintings and Sculptures. August 26-29, 2015

By Audrey MacNeill, 21-Jul-2015

Opening Night, 26 Aug 5-7pm

Kinharvie Institute invites you to the opening of an exhibition of painted beech wood panels and 3D pieces by our very own Christine Partridge who, whilst working at Kinharvie Institute as a facilitator and coach, is also an artist.

A consequence of a two-year intimate conversation with an avenue of ancient beech trees, this evocative exhibition explores our relationship with vulnerability and the possibilities to be found in ageing and the passing of time.

Through the use of a limited, muted palette of oil and wax, together with fire on pieces of beech, Chris has imaginatively captured the organic, sinuous embodied presence of the trees.

If you are unable to attend the Opening Night, feel free to pop in as the exhibition will continue at Kinharvie Institute at the following times:

  • Thurs 27 and Fri 28, 9:30 am - 5:00 pm
  • Sat 29 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
