Scottish Recovery Network National Event to be Facilitated by Kinharvie Institute

By Paul Cummings, 01-Feb-2013

We are pleased to once again work in partnership with the Scottish Recovery Network.  We have worked on a number of projects over the years including facilitation skills training, strategic planning and staff coaching.  Our latest project is to facilitate SRN's 5th national conference - the National Gathering 2013 - to be held on Monday 18th March at Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh.  This is a free one day event, designed to provide a safe, empowering and innovative opportunity for people to come together, network, share, learn and be inspired. Anyone interested in mental health recovery can apply to take part.

This year’s theme is Recovery 2020: A Vision Achieved? SRN’s vision is for a Scotland where mental health recovery is a reality for all. The aim for the conference is to provide delegates with an opportunity to discuss their visions for mental health recovery by the year 2020.  Our role will be to design processes that ensure delegates engage in the conversations they need to have and to make this as easy as possible for all who wish to contribute.

Dr. Rachel Perkins OBE will be a keynote speaker and there will be  a dynamic and entertaining 'PechaKucha' style presentations, whereby each speaker shows 20 images for 20 seconds each. The slides advance automatically and the speaker talks along to them.

We are looking forward to playing our part in ensuring this is a highly successful and enjoyable event and in helping SRN realise their visions for recovery in Scotland.
