Having worked with Kinharvie for 30 years as a coach, facilitator, trainer and organisation development consultant, I have come to learn more clearly my personal mission. My mission is to make available to individuals and communities, my presence, courage and determination. I do this by creating safe, caring and life-giving spaces that facilitate others to realise their potential and live their truth with confidence and conviction.
I passionately believe in the potential of people to reach beyond their perceived limits. As someone who has excelled well beyond my own poverty of ambition as a young person, I can bear witness to the fact that it is being nurtured in a life-giving space that allows personal potential to be recognised. Once brought to awareness, potential is there for the taking.
I have BA in Economics/Psychology and MSc in Applied Psychology. I completed the Organisations and Systems Development Programme delivered by the Gestalt Institute, Cleveland. I undertook coach training at Gestalt International Study Centre, Cape Cod, USA and I am an International Coach Federation (ICF) Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and an IAF Certified Professional Facilitator© (CPF©).
I am driven by facilitating real change in organisations and communities working to co-create a more just world where all are free to realise their potential.
I believe real change only occurs to the extent the present reality has been acknowledged. I work with sensitivity to create processes which enable you to explore and recognise the need for change. Once your motivation for change is clear, I am then able to tailor a process which enables you to consider a wealth of possibilities before moving to take purposeful action.
I have over 11 years of experience working as an organisational consultant, facilitator and trainer. I have worked with a wide variety of organisations in the UK and beyond and enjoy the challenge of tailoring an intervention or training to the specific needs of the client.
I also coordinate the various gatherings we host throughout the year to bring clients together to network, share and learn.
I have completed the International Gestalt Organisation and Leadership Development Programme, an MA in Conflict Resolution and a postgraduate certificate in Participation Studies. I am also a Certified Professional Facilitator.
A wise woman once told me, ‘your power is in your choices.’ Years later, the meaning of these words continues to reveal itself to me. They are a guide, a challenge, and a reminder of the path we can each take towards our potential. Today, these words drive my passion as a facilitator and coach supporting individuals, teams and communities to realise the wonder of their collective strength, wisdom and creativity.
Throughout my career I have been fortunate to work and learn alongside organisations and individuals who are willing to explore choice and invest in the potential of their people. Whether it comes through providing coaching, facilitation, or bespoke training, I gain great satisfaction when I see our clients step forward to lead transformation for their own lives. In my experience this always requires awareness, curiosity and a choice; to create a more life-giving future.
Whether you are a youth coaching client in a Dundee high-school, or the leadership team of a London-based charity, I believe in your potential and aspire to bring the best of my self to support you to realise your own life-giving future.
In addition to my expertise as a ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and Certified Professional Facilitator (IAF) I bring an array of experience leading collaborative programmes in the heritage, public and international development sectors. I am fortunate that this work has enabled me to engage with a diversity of people, challenges, opportunities and ideas. Now I enjoy drawing from this experience to creatively support our clients to achieve their own success.
I have a dual role within Kinharvie. I assist the Executive Director in managing the accounts and ensuring that our centre is well maintained and a comfortable place to be. I also work with one of our major clients and ensure that they are well catered for.
I am a long-standing member of the Kinharvie team and have developed a good rapport with many of our clients and an understanding of their individual needs. I enjoy the varied work with which I am involved and being part of a team which supports individuals and organisations to reach their potential.
After voluntary work with the Samaritans I pursued my interest in psychology, which I continue to develop today in my work with organisations and groups. I have extensive clinical experience, which informs my work with people. My work includes training, facilitation, research, group work and external consultancy to groups and organisations. I have worked in a variety of community and organisational settings within the Public, Voluntary and Corporate Sectors.
My passion is for organisations to reach their full potential by facilitating their people to give of their best and I see facilitation as a means to achieving healthy organisations. I graduated in accountancy and mathematics and later pursued post-graduate studies include psychology, organisational consultancy, group work, facilitation, counselling and supervision, social and public policy. I am also a life member of the International Association of Facilitators (IAF), a Certified Professional Facilitator© (CPF©) and a ICF (PCC) accredited coach. I have worked throughout the UK and internationally in Europe and Africa, as a facilitator and organisational consultant.
For over 20 years I have worked to help individuals, teams and organisations apply their own unique creative potential to the questions and dilemmas they are wrestling with. Weaving together my professional experience as a research scientist, explorer, artist, trainer and accredited Gestalt coach and facilitator, I aim to co-create spaces that welcomes conversations that are full of curiosity and imagination. To co-create spaces that inspire fresh thinking and opens new perspectives and possible ways forwards. I particularly love how, with a well-designed process that encourages people to be fully present, in the here-and-now, diverse people can work together to achieve amazing results.
Hello, I’m Jenny and I am delighted to have been invited to join the team at Kinharvie as an associate coach.
I have over 20 years’ experience in the charity sector in Scotland holding both leadership and executive roles. I was formerly the director of the National Autistic Society Scotland and until last year I was the CEO in Breakthrough, a young persons’ mentoring charity.
I love working with people and I get a huge amount of energy and satisfaction from building positive, trusting relationships and supporting people to reach their potential – professionally and personally.
My association with Kinharvie started a decade ago when I experienced my first ever coaching session with Paul and it was so transformative that I kept coming back for more. Whilst 2020 brought many challenges for people, the highlight for me was finally training as a Gestalt coach with the expert team at Kinharvie..
I have had the privilege of coaching a wide range of leaders and emerging leaders across all sectors and I have also been given the opportunity to coach care experienced people and those who have experienced trauma and loss..
I have a particular interest in supporting autistic and neurodiverse individuals to reach their potential and hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Autism from the University of Strathclyde.
Coaching has become a huge part of my identity – I also coach junior hockey for Stirling Wanderers and earlier this year I became a qualified open water swimming coach and spend a lot of time in freezing Scottish Lochs.
Clients who engage in coaching with me can expect a relaxed and informal approach, authenticity, honesty and compassion and I warmly welcome clients regardless of their background and circumstances who are committed to engaging with coaching to make positive changes in their lives.
