Reflective Living for Young Adults

What is Reflective Living?

Reflective Living is a unique approach to personal and professional development tailored for young adults aged 18 to 25. Drawing inspiration from reflective practices in various professions, it aims to empower you through self-awareness and meaningful dialogue with peers.

Why Reflective Living?

In today's fast-paced world, uncertainties can be overwhelming. Reflective Living provides a space for you to explore your potential, clarify your values, and gain insights through engaging discussions. It's not about having all the answers; it's about creating a supportive community where everyone's journey matters.

Belong to a Supportive Community!

In times of isolation and uncertainty, Reflective Living offers a sense of community. Share experiences, connect with peers, and build friendships with fellow group members who seek to understand your journey.

What's in it for You?

  • Foster Self-Discovery: Uncover your passions, strengths, and values.
  • Enhance Emotional Intelligence: Manage your emotions for better well-being.
  • Cultivate Goal Clarity: Set meaningful goals in line with your values.
  • Build Resilience: Develop strategies to navigate setbacks.
  • Attentive Presense: Be mindfully attentive and present to yourself and others.  Feel supported by the attentive presence of others.
  • Encourage Lifelong Learning: Nurture a love for personal growth.

How does it Work?

Reflective Living sessions, either in-person or virtual, run for 2 hours weekly. Guided by trained facilitators, each session focuses on a reflective prompt, encouraging open discussions. Engage in reflection, journaling, and share insights with your peers, creating a space for personal growth.  We are conducting an initial pilot on the following basis:

  • Duration: The initial pilot will consist of six sessions, each lasting two hours.
  • Formats: Two formats will be offered - face-to-face and online sessions.
  • Group Size: Reflective Living can accommodate up to 12 participants.
  • Age Range: The program is tailored for individuals aged 18 to 25.
  • Sequence: The sessions will follow a sequence of three weeks, a two-week break, followed by another three weeks.
  • Focus: The primary focus of Reflective Living is 'my future and realising my potential.' While there may be some exploration of past experience that hinders individual future progress, the sessions are not therapy or counselling.

Joining Questionnaire

Upon making a request to book a space on a Reflective Living programme you will be sent a joining questionnaire. The joining questionnaire will help us assess your suitability for the group. The main concern is ensuring participants are suited for the experience, with a focus on safeguarding young people.

Evaluation

To determine the effectiveness of Reflective Living, we ask that participants commit to complete an evaluation survey at the conclusion of the programme.
