Advanced Facilitation Skills Programme - A Gestalt Approach

ONLINE COURSE - Become an even more confident and competent facilitator!

Great facilitators are always looking for ways to get even better at what they do. This programme is for anyone with the desire to further develop their facilitation skills and has completed our Facilitation Essentials two-day programme (or a similar training elsewhere). This 3-day programme will introduce you to Gestalt theory as it applies to facilitation, providing a useful reference at all points throughout the facilitation cycle. The programme will provide you with a variety of practical skills and tools to facilitate a group in reaching its potential and overcome the challenges encountered along the way.

Details

During this 3-day programme, our highly experienced IAF Certified Facilitators will lead you through the following:

An introduction to Gestalt theory
Group dynamics and stages of development
Facilitating problem-solving
Divergent and convergent processes
Facilitating conflict
Facilitation and power
Planning a meeting/event
A variety of facilitation tools and processes

By the end of this training you will have:

An understanding of Gestalt theory as it applies to facilitation and how it can support you to confidently and consistently respond to many of the challenges a group presents
A greater appreciation of group dynamics, how groups evolve and how you can best support their effectiveness at different stages of their development
Increased confidence and ability to plan a variety of online and face-to-face meetings/events
A greater ability to facilitate situations where conflict and/or power struggles exist
Gained knowledge of a range of participative tools to use in a variety of online and face-to-face meetings.

Format

This programme is delivered online over three weeks (one day per week) using Kinharvie's virtual learning space and Zoom.
